Corporate Social Responsibility and Inclusion of Special Needs Adults in Businesses

Topic/ theme: Entrepreneurial learning – entrepreneurship education, Equal access and transition to labour market, Disabilities, Inclusion, promoting equality and non discrimination

At your request, the courses can be structured for a different schedule (5 or 7 training days).

Sending partners: educational organizations involved in formal, non-formal and informal learning: schools, adult training centers, resource centers and other relevant organization active in the adult education field established in Erasmus+ program countries.

Participants: 20-25 adults involved in education

Course fee: According to the Erasmus+ guide, 80 euros / training day, including course preparation, training, training materials, administration costs, organizational costs, 24 hours emergency support.

Trainers:  A multinational team of trainers – Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Greek, Cypriot, Italian,Polish, SALTO affiliated, with training in more than 15 European countries.

Languages used: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French. The training materials will be provided in English. On request, Spanish and French.

Profile of the participants:

The participants are teachers or adult trainers active in the sending organization interested in entrepreneurial education and Corporate Social Responsibility, with or without previous experience, willing to develop themselves professionally not only through the course, but by involving themselves in preparatory and follow up activities. They must be interested in other cultures and in developing the institution’s European dimension.

Objectives:

   – Gain an overview of entrepreneurial skills and mindset.

   – Understand the principles and significance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for businesses.

   – Learn about successful CSR initiatives through case studies.

   – Identify opportunities for businesses to integrate CSR into entrepreneurial endeavors.

   – Develop strategies for incorporating CSR principles into business planning and operations.

   – Analyze case studies of businesses successfully integrating CSR into their ventures.

   – Recognize the importance of engaging stakeholders (employees, customers, community) in CSR initiatives.

   – Acquire techniques for building partnerships and collaborations to enhance the impact of CSR efforts.

   – Discuss sustainability and ethical considerations in business operations and practice practical exercises to develop sustainable and ethical business practices.

–  Explore Erasmus+ Opportunities and Funding for Social Ventures:

   – Understand the importance of measuring and evaluating social impact.

   – Develop strategies for scaling social impact while maintaining sustainability.

   – Understand the characteristics and challenges faced by special needs adults in entering the workforce and in entrepreneurship.

   – Learn techniques for creating inclusive and accessible work environments.

   – Engage in role-playing scenarios to simulate work challenges involving special needs adults and assist them in identifying their skills, strengths, and interests.

   – Develop action plans for implementing entrepreneurial education programs focusing on CSR and inclusion of special needs adults.

   – Discuss strategies for overcoming barriers to accessing resources and building supportive networks for special needs employees and solopreneurs.

Methodology

The main methods will be through practical training, exercises, role-playing, cooperative work, various activities and discussions. The content is based on „ learning by doing” combined with ” reflection upon action”. The training course has a holistic approach:

  • Experiencing: different educational settings, different non formal education methods (role play, simulation game, exercises etc.)
  • Reflecting: on the methods and its impacts, on the power and limits of non-formal education, on building a pedagogical/ andragogical process etc.
  • Transferring: to the own reality of participants, in order to improve ways of working with their trainees
  • Sharing: different perceptions, current situations and experiences.
  • Developing: the building capacity of the participants by including them in the decision process of the training course designing

Discussion on overcoming barriers to accessing resources and building supportive networks for special needs employees and solopreneurs.
Day 9Evaluation, dissemination and certification   Dissemination and valorization activities planning. Learning outcomes and project evaluation. Using European certification tools: Europass Mobility certificate, upgrading the Europass Language Passport and Europass Skills Passport. Certification ceremony.
